- Do I need to be an experienced hiker?
- Not at all. These hikes are chosen for accessibility — if you can walk comfortably for 2–3 hours, you'll be fine. We're not racing anyone.
- What should I wear?
- Comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes — trail runners or hiking boots are ideal. Layers are always a good call in Ontario, especially in spring and fall.
- How do I get to the trailhead?
- Each hike page lists a central Toronto pick-up location. We carpool out together, so you just need to get yourself to the meeting spot.
- Is there a cost to join?
- The hike itself is free. You'll cover your own transportation costs (gas contribution to the driver is appreciated) and food and drinks at the post-hike spot.
- Can I bring a dog?
- Sometimes yes — it depends on the trail and the group. Check the individual hike page for details. When in doubt, email us first.
- What happens if the weather is bad?
- We hike in light rain — it's Canada. If conditions are genuinely unsafe (thunderstorms, extreme heat, trail closures), we'll cancel and email everyone who signed up.
- How many people can come on each hike?
- Each hike has a small number of spots to keep the group manageable and the day relaxed. Check the hike page to see how many are left.
- I signed up but can't make it. What do I do?
- Please email us as soon as you know so we can offer your spot to someone else. No hard feelings — life happens.
